Recent appearances include Carlota as seen in Netflix's Cable Girls. Ana Kristina Gasteyer is an American actress, comedian, and performer. Her most recognizable role was as a member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, from 1996 until 2002. Since then, she has appeared in shows like ABC's Suburgatory The TBS's People of Earth, NBC's American Auto and the film Mean Girls. Gasteyer started out as a singing study at Northwestern University, and later switched her attention to studies in theater after joining the improv troupe on campus. Her enthusiasm for improv has been evident in her numerous parts in supporting roles such as the extremely controlled Sheila Shay (agent), on Lady Dynamite, as well as on the Suburgatory's Sheila Shay. This all leads the premiere of American Auto, the NBC sitcom that finally gives Ana Gasteyer the starring role she's always deserved. Between 1996 and 2002, she appeared as a participant in The NBC Sketch Comedy Series Saturday Night Live.
